Each year, Parliament asks the nine legislatures to select an eminent person to be part of the State of the Nation Address proceedings. The selection serves to recognize the contribution made by these people during the struggle and in their communities. During the activities on the evening of the State of the Nation Address, each Eminent Person will have the opportunity to be met and greeted by the President.
